I SHALL-WAKA WAKA 2010

Whenever I think of English language and the match Football it would give me an era of celebration a decade ago, when I used to go my mother’s ancestral home-Ammath, in Malabar exactly in a Valluvanadan village where I understood the word I SHALL.

Let me start- it was our ambition that spent time with a group of people as like all the kids. So we used to do everything together- sleeping, wake in the morning, going for bath in our pond, doing routine offerings at our family temple,(Tevaram) discussions, sharing, having food, then comes our favorite pass time- match- almost football and cricket. It was not popular at that time- The Caroms but it also there.

I studied to roar I Shall”” when ever play in forward or defend rather than Goal keeping till my graduation. Or I can say rather than any word I Shall is the first word I have been taught in English. Though I am not a better forward or defender we used to shout I shall…I shall….. always. Thanks to poth, vydyar, aama, chakk and all (name has changed due to publicity he…he…). For getting punch in match they motivate team mates they used to call me Aana, because of I belong to a family named Anamparambu, it came to known as Aanakuttan later as my handle name in FB,Tweetp, and all. We shared our sorrows, clarifications, criticism, and all other commentary through Face book. I started playing football and watching it in the last of 20th century now it has changed a lot.

I Shall”” I understood only in the first quarter of the first decade in 21st century when Euro cup was there. I do remember Figo, Henry, and some names as they were the heroes. At my Ammath (mother’s ancestral home) we used to watch the game together it might be at some ones home, or there is a club named Samanwaya, or at the party office.
Still I remember we used to take Sulaimanie (lime tea) it’s a special brand of Malabar when the match pr election happens.
For people who scoff me Football is just 20 fools run for a ball and two fools are keeping it and three fools controlling, but for me, for us it’s a life or a bunch of memories, esp. I SHALL”” which I have been taught by Football.

Since long time with those sweeter memories I enjoyed watching the 2010 Soccer football alone at home. I felt I changed a lot than from one who doesn’t know I shall”” to the present level.
So changes what ever it may, happened to people, culture, time, space, matches doesn’t impact the Memories one has. Obviously nothing can impact my wealthiest capital in this life ever memories.
